Located in Sanger, Texas, AntiWave Pool Products is a division of Vaupell, an injection molding and assembly facility founded in 1976. Anton Kajlich, an All American water polo player at UC Berkeley and a member of Czechoslovakia’s national team for much of the 1960s, founded AntiWave in 1977 and joined forces with Vaupell in 1982. Over the years, this combination of Vaupell’s molding and manufacturing expertise and Anton’s continued design and development work has placed AntiWave at the forefront of our market. With an approach founded on an insistence on quality, value for money, service and innovation, AntiWave continues to challenge competitors and consumers alike: How good do you want to be?
A major milestone in our growth came in 1994 with the introduction of the unique "Supertensioner". This turnbuckle tensioning device not only eliminates all of the annoyances associated with the antiquated take up reel and wrench design, but it also greatly reduces the hassles associated with moving lane lines in and out of pools. Following up on this achievement was the introduction of the “ForeRunner” racing lane. The lane’s discs combine a unique design that directs waves downward into the water, with an increased size - 4.75 inches in diameter, compared to the standard 4 inches. The result is a wave-quell effect second to none. Building on the success of this design, the 6-inch “Maximum” lane was developed for international competition, with a record-setting launch at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Those Olympic games showcased not only our racing lanes, but also the introduction of our “Odyssey” floating water polo goal. Combining form with function, it is simply the finest floating goal on the market. 2002 saw the introduction of the “Club” floating goal, a derivative of the “Odyssey” design, and the “Ultimate” lane storage reel. Both heralded a new standard of quality and value. The “Universal” wall goal was introduced in 2005, and is a "one-size-fits-all" design to suit the shallow or deep end. In 2006 we introduced a new line of Starting Platforms, all superbly designed and made of hand-laid fiberglass for optimum quality and durability.
For 2007, we have added a range of Water Polo Balls, plus two very exciting new Folding floating polo goals. The “FlipFloat” is a full-size competitive goal, similar to the very popular “Club” goal, but with the added advantage that it folds flat for storage. The “Flippa” goal has the same design concept, but at seven feet across is ideal for junior water polo, practice, or residential pools.
We continue to develop exciting new products of innovative design and high quality, all at very competitive prices. The records, in our growth and in the pool, speak for themselves!
